I get it. You’ve tried how many diets now? How many squat challenges? It hasn’t worked, has it?

How do I know this? Because I have been there. Like you, I tried every low calorie, food restrictive diet going including a juice and hard boiled egg diet, EW. I followed every single Pinterest ‘flat stomach’ and ‘booty’ challenge there is. None of its ever worked. Why? Because they just don’t work. Your food doesn’t need to be restrictive, those fitness challenges aren’t optimal for your goals and lets be honest, they aren’t fun! That’s why I do what I do now, so you can stop you torturing yourself like I did.

Whether you choose personal training or online coaching, I will be YOUR personal coach throughout the whole journey. Helping you through the ups and downs, answering any of your questions and help keep you motivated when it gets harder.

For me, it’s not about quick fixes. We will work together to create realistic goals. Working together will provide you with the tools to work towards a healthy, sustainable body, create good habits, build a healthy relationship with food, provide you with the knowledge to train effectively towards your goal, as well as help create a positive mindset.

I’m Shannon or @ShannonHarris_Fit on Instagram! I’m a Level 4 Personal Trainer, and specialise in GP Exercise referral and Weight Management Strategies for Diabetic and Obese Clients.

My fitness journey began properly when I started uni. I enjoyed my first year a little too much, as we all do, and this massively damaged not just my physical but also my mental health. I spent my second year hidden away, eating lots of food, hating my body, and not being motivated enough to do anything about it. Because of this, I was getting ill all the time, I felt depressed and my relationships were being dragged down with this. It took me about a year to motivate myself, and let me tell you, it was TOUGH to start with. I was unmotivated and felt so uncomfortable I didn’t want to be in a gym environment. I focussed on burning calories on cardio machines and then went home and continued to eat a poor diet. This did work for a while and got me some results, but as they say, ‘you can’t out train a bad diet’. I decided it was time to learn more and invest in myself. I began using weights, without a clue what I was doing and taught myself a lot. This, plus consistency was when the majority of my changes happened.

But here we are 5 years later, I am now a personal trainer and online coach, and weight lifting is my absolute life. Lifting weights empowered me to make the changes I needed, and it still to this day makes me feel strong and unstoppable. It’s helped me deal with my anxiety, and taught me to create healthy habits to look after both my mental and physical health.

I’m convinced my job is the best job in the world, helping others reach their goals, whether that be losing weight, getting stronger or just being healthier! I cannot wait to start working with you to help you become the best version of yourself!
